Tales of the Summer

We have had the most wonderful summer anyone could hope for. Kobe has so much fun this summer. He played baseball on the Reds until the first of July. We went on vacation to TN, we’ve gone swimming, hiking, to Carter Caves, derbies, fairs all over the state, and then he has been right at home with his toys (most of the time, he would rather be there).

But it most come to an end :( School starts tomorrow!!! Big Sad Face!! My baby is going into the first grade. Where in the world has time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital. It breaks my heart so bad. This is my only baby. Lord’s will this will be the only baby I have unless he has another plan for me….I know I should be happy that he is getting bigger and growing up, but I am NOT. I want him small always, but that isn’t the way it is. I just want him to grow strong mentally and physically….

Tonight we go meet the teacher at Open House. I noticed that several of his good friends are in his class; which makes me feel better. We have all of his supplies and new clothes and shoes bought and ready. He wanted a backpack with GraveDigger and his name on it. So, Momma looked on line and found one :) So cute.

Then in less than 2 weeks I start as a Freshman in college. I went to get my books and laptop Friday. Yes, I am excited but nervous too. I just have to do it and not think about it. However, in the world you do something like that, I will never know, but I’m gonna try!!!

I will post pictures of the evening tomorrow and let you see how darn cute my baby is in the morning on his first day of first grade….boohooo

Weekend Review!

We had a very good weekend as always! We always try to do a lil something with Kobe either on Saturday or Sunday. This weekend, both days were for my baby boy! And that is alright with me!
Friday night, my mother and I went to see my uncle Gene. He is in the nursing home in Wolfe County. He is such a sweet, sweet man! Saturday we went to Cater Caves. We did a guided tour through the caves. We were there about all day. We had so much fun! Then we rented some movies and relaxed. Sunday, Kobe and I got up and went to the Clark Co. Fair. My friend’s baby was in the contest. She is such a beautiful baby!! Lil Hannah! Then Kobe wanted to see the tractor show and get an ice cream :0)

Tonight is the Montgomery County Large Car Derby! Then tomorrow is the Small Car and Chris will be running!! We are so excited!! We just cant wait.

Look at my Lil Trey Trey. He is 6 months, so cute. This is my cousin Will and Jen’s baby…. So cute… Love him and Hayden so much!

Last but certainly not least, yesterday was my dad’s birthday!! Love my Daddy so much!!! Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Wonderful Weekend!

We had a great weekend!! Here is a lil rundown of how it went….
Friday night, Roger and I went out on a date. Yes a real date!!! We ate Mexican and we went and did a lil shopping. We had so much fun. Kobe decided he wanted to stay with Blake and Bryan. We came home and basically went straight to bed; we were all so tired from the week prior.
Saturday, we got up and I went and got us breakfast, came home, and cleaned house. Later in the day I went to make my last car payment. Paid the car off and drove away in this lil beauty. I love it!! So nice!!!
Sunday, I got up early and went to the grocery and to get breakfast. While at the grocery I picked up a few things for a lunch. After my grocery list was marked off, put away and lunch was packed; me, Kobe, Roger, Amber, Destiny, (my nieces friend) loaded up and went to Natural Bridge. We fed the ducks, fish, and had a nice lil picnic by the creek. We left there and stopped at Darrell’s for Tyler’s birthday party. The day was completed with all four of us (Roger, me, Kobe, and Amber) watching a movie eating popcorn.

Just Some News.....

It is Friday and might I say thank goodness. Every Friday afternoon I say I have never been more ready for the weekend! But I swear its true every Friday. There really hasn’t been a lot going on this week. Just the regular hustle and bustle of every week. I did find out I start school on August 22. I go Monday and Wednesday nights. I am super excited to get started but very nervous. I know it will be a trip to complete but well worth my time.
Also, I got some news this week. Bad for me, good for them. Chris, Tanner, and Marlean are moving to the holler. I know that will make them so happy to be in her Mammaws place. And I want them to be happy. Memories are something you cant get back. And there are a lot of memories there. I am so happy that they can share that special place with Tanner. But I am also very sad. Roger’s family have always been my family. Marlean and I are so close. Just as if we were blood sisters. Love is so much thicker than blood. We have always been right under their noses that I, we, wont know what to do when they leave. But that is just me being selfish. And I will wish them well and go stay all night every chance I get :0)
