Weekend Review

We had a great weekend, which was much needed after the week we had!! It has been life in the fast lane at our house this week. Roger got a new job, I am going to school and work, and Kobe is in the first grade (more homework). Roger has to be to work by 6:00, which means he leaves at 5:30. If you know us, you know that we are not morning people at all. But adjustments have to be made. So I get up at 5:00 and make his lunch, take a bath, make Kobe’s lunch, do any housework, get Kobe up and out the door we go. I am very fortunate that we live right beside of Marlean, because on Mondays and Wednesdays she takes Kobe to school. (I have to leave by 6:00 because of school in the evenings)

We had two birthdays this weekend. Here are a few pictures of the great time Kobe and I had. (Roger had to work :() happy Birthday Benjamin and Caiden!!

Weekend Review!

I am a little bit late on the Weekend Review but I have been a little busy this week. I am working my new schedule for school. Although, school doesn’t start until Monday I started the new schedule early (for practice). However, this week there have been 2 12 hour shifts in the mix and I am worn out!! We had a wonderful weekend filled with fun, family, and friends. We had 2 birthday parties on Saturday. And a lazy day Sunday. I had bought me a new quilt for my bed, for fall. I was just trying it out and Roger demanded I leave it on there because he loved it. I did too.. So I did.

First Day of School

Ok…. So this morning was the first day of first grade…. Went well for Kobe, not so much for me… His friends were in his class so he was ready to go. You will see in some of these pics he was embarrassed that I took them, but I cant help it. He is my baby boy!!

Tales of the Summer

We have had the most wonderful summer anyone could hope for. Kobe has so much fun this summer. He played baseball on the Reds until the first of July. We went on vacation to TN, we’ve gone swimming, hiking, to Carter Caves, derbies, fairs all over the state, and then he has been right at home with his toys (most of the time, he would rather be there).

But it most come to an end :( School starts tomorrow!!! Big Sad Face!! My baby is going into the first grade. Where in the world has time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital. It breaks my heart so bad. This is my only baby. Lord’s will this will be the only baby I have unless he has another plan for me….I know I should be happy that he is getting bigger and growing up, but I am NOT. I want him small always, but that isn’t the way it is. I just want him to grow strong mentally and physically….

Tonight we go meet the teacher at Open House. I noticed that several of his good friends are in his class; which makes me feel better. We have all of his supplies and new clothes and shoes bought and ready. He wanted a backpack with GraveDigger and his name on it. So, Momma looked on line and found one :) So cute.

Then in less than 2 weeks I start as a Freshman in college. I went to get my books and laptop Friday. Yes, I am excited but nervous too. I just have to do it and not think about it. However, in the world you do something like that, I will never know, but I’m gonna try!!!

Weekend Review!

We had a very good weekend as always! We always try to do a lil something with Kobe either on Saturday or Sunday. This weekend, both days were for my baby boy! And that is alright with me!
Friday night, my mother and I went to see my uncle Gene. He is in the nursing home in Wolfe County. He is such a sweet, sweet man! Saturday we went to Cater Caves. We did a guided tour through the caves. We were there about all day. We had so much fun! Then we rented some movies and relaxed. Sunday, Kobe and I got up and went to the Clark Co. Fair. My friend’s baby was in the contest. She is such a beautiful baby!! Lil Hannah! Then Kobe wanted to see the tractor show and get an ice cream :0)

Tonight is the Montgomery County Large Car Derby! Then tomorrow is the Small Car and Chris will be running!! We are so excited!! We just cant wait.

Look at my Lil Trey Trey. He is 6 months, so cute. This is my cousin Will and Jen’s baby…. So cute… Love him and Hayden so much!

Last but certainly not least, yesterday was my dad’s birthday!! Love my Daddy so much!!! Happy Birthday Daddy!!
