Dance Off

I recieved an interesting article several months ago from my friend at Primrose schools. She has an awesome idea to avoid child obesity. Here is an article regarding some physical activities... Of course we live to far away from her area to sign up now, but I fould it interesting that we could coordinate something in our area!!

Primrose Child Care Family Dance-Off Event!

Dance can be a fun, easy way to introduce physical activity into your family's daily routine. As a provider of childhood education, Primrose Schools (which has child care centers nationwide) has recognized the epidemic of childhood obesity and is actively fighting against it.

The Family Dance-off supports Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children's hospitals, which collectively treat 17 million children annually for every illness and injury imaginable.

Families are encouraged to record and submit a 30 second video of their dancing families to promote fitness and strengthen family ties.

Participating in the Family Dance-off is easy:
1. Record a 30-second video of your family's best dance moves. Have fun with it!

2. Visit The Family Dance-off site and upload your best take by March 19th.

3. Share your video with your friends via email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

4. View and vote daily (you can place five votes per day) for your favorite family dance video!

What would a competition be without prizes? Primrose Schools is providing prizes that aren't only great for your family but for your whole community, with $65,000 in donations to local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals:

· Grand Prize: $5,000 and Primrose will make a $30,000 donation to a local Children's Miracle Network Hospital

· 2nd Prize: $3,000 and Primrose will make a $20,000 donation to a local Children's Miracle Network Hospital

· 3rd Prize: $1,500 and Primrose will make a $15,000 donation to a local Children's Miracle Network Hospital

· All 14 Finalists will also receive a FLIP camcorder

So Far Behind!!!

I am so very far behind. I have had so much going on that I have not had time to do anything!! Kobe’s birthday, we bought a new truck, Kobe in baseball, and me getting signed up for nursing school. So I am so sorry that I am behind.. Here are some pictures of Kobe’s birthday. He got so many gifts and had so many people come to his party. We appreciate all the friends and family that came to help us celebrate him being 6 years old.

My Weekend!!

Friday night after work me, Kobe, Tocha and Keeley went to Movie Tavern to eat and watch Gnomeo and Juliet... I had the most awful headache; worst in a while. But we had a great time.
Saturday morning I went to visit a friend at the UK hospital; she was much better.
Sunday, we had a lazy day. I am getting ready for Kobe's birthday party Saturday :0) YAY!!

Prayer

I am requesting prayer for a friend of mine. Her daughter is 16. She is now in the ICU at UK medical center. She has had a brain bleed due to a malformation of the brain. Please, please, keep her in your prayers.

Kobe is being honored at the high school basketball game this evening for be an outstanding student. OK, I think it is the whole school that is being honored but I dont care... I am still one proud momma. Love my baby boy much!!!

Great Weekend!!

This weekend was way too short as always... Friday when I got off work, I went to pick up Kobe at daycare. We met my Daddy and Step mother at Taco Bell for dinner. He loves them so much.. (me too) We had some a great time... Then, we had to stop at Wal-Mart for a movie...
Saturday morning I got up and fixed breakfast.. cleaned a little, and didnt leave the house. I didnt even come out of my pjs, none of us did... It was a wonderful lazy day...
Sunday, Kobe and I skipped church (I dont recommand) and went shopping with Becky. We had a great day... I love church so much. But Becky called and asked that Me and Kobe go with her and Haleigh... Look how cute they are together...
We came home and watched the Super Bowl and our team get stomped :( We love the Steelers.

Last night I went home and fixed Roger a wonderful birthday dinner and his favorite cake... yellow cake with chocolate icing... It was great!! He, Kobe and I had the best time. We ate dinner and listened to music while we ate cake. I think Kobe was more excited than Roger about the cake... He loves birthdays, no matter who's it is..
At the end of the evening we sat down to catch a lil of tv before hitting the bed. We were talking and I looked over to see why he wasnt answering me... He was asleep... I just thought this was the cutest ever!!! So sweet.
I have started planning Kobe's 6th birthday!! I think we are having it at Kids Place. He had such a great time at Chase's party... And it is HIS birthday so I guess we grant his wishes for that day :-) (everyday actually) but thats ok..
