Wonderful Weekend!

Boy, we have been busy…. Baseball games (pro baseball games), new doggy, Big Dan, and whole lot of enjoying Mr. Sunshine :0)

Saturday night we went to a Legends game. The hospital gave us free tickets to the game with free food vouchers, so yeah I took my boys. We had a blast! Thursday June 23, 2011 was Tanner’s 9th birthday so of course I wanted to do something with him. And that was the only thing I could think of that he hadn’t done before (that I could remember).

Sunday, I went to my mommas for the day. Spent the day with her. I don’t get to do that very often. So it was really nice to visit and chat. On my way home I made a stop to get Kobe a surprise. A red-bone coon hound. Yes, I am crazy! But the puppy dog eyes did it for me. Here are a few pictures from our weekend….

A Wonderful Dad!

When I married that wonderful husband of mine,

There were things I knew from the start.

I knew he was gentle, thoughtful and wise,

I knew he had a big heart.

But I didn't know all the things I know now,

All the tricks he had up his sleeve.

All the toys he could fix, all the swings he could push,

All the the ways he could make make-believe.

Now the more were together,

The more I can see just what good fortune I've had...

When I married that wonderful husband of mine,

I sure married a wonderful dad!

Happy Father's Day!!!

We have Baseball tournaments all week and possibly the weekend. I most certainly did not want to let Father's Day slip by without a post! So a lil early but very heart felt, In honor of Father’s Day, I thought I would make a post of the three men that mean a lot to me.

First and foremost of course, is my precious baby boy! As you will see in every picture is Kobe Dale. He is the light of my life and without him Roger and I would not be parents. So my life is surrounded by him. He alone makes me smile, cry, laugh, scream, run, play, and rest with him in my arms at the end of the day. And for that, I am so grateful!
Second but absolutely not in the middle is my loving husband. Roger is more than one more man ever could be. He is amazingly patient, loving, caring, strong, weak, tender, selfless, tough, sometimes hot tempered, independent, my provider, my security, my best friend, lover, and most certainly my better half. Thank you Rollie for 13 great years together. I am so grateful that you dedicated the rest of your life to loving me and I promise I will love you until the angels carry me to Heaven. I love you Baby.

And even though I don't have a picture of you (because you won't take them)!! I love you so much, you have no idea! You are always there with open arms, no matter what I need! You caring, loving, warm hearted, shirt fused, honest, and will be in my heart forever. Thank you for being te best FIL a girl could ever ask for!! I am so blessed yo have you in my life!!! And last, but certainly not least is my Daddy. My dad is such a gentle giant. He is a wonderful man. I would not be who I am today if it was not for my dad. He is there where I need him, when it is most important. I love when we laugh about things that nobody thinks is funny. We kinda have our language (and that doesn’t bother us one bit). I love you, Daddy. Thanks for giving me life. I’ll always be your lil girl!!

So to all of you:
You all hold a special place in my heart for many different reasons. But one reason stands out above them all…..

Vacation Update

This morning bright and early Roger, Kobe, myself, Chris, Marlean, Tanner, Chad, Amy, Chase, Kim, Blake, Bryan, Tyler, Savannah, and Ralph headed out to TN. It was a long road trip on the kiddos, but nevertheless worth it. We left about 6:00 and arrived about 10:30. Not bad timing with that many kids :)
We checked into the hotel, went to the arcade, swam, and now it is storming. Just our luck. So we are stuck in the hotel room for just a lil bit. Kobe and Tanner are wrestling on the bed as I type. In a normal situation I would not be blogging; I would be enjoying time with my family. But as we are stuck in the hotel; everyone is kind of doing their own thing. Roger is watching the Nascar race, so thought while I had the time I would make a post so I would remember what an awesome time we have already had... and its only been just a couple of hours..
I am sure I will have many more pictures and memories to blog when the trip is over. We are getting ready to head out to get something good to eat. So I will be back on at a later time.

Week Review

This week was busy. We had three games at the park, Kindergarten graduation, and last day of school. Kobe even learned how to mow the grass. We are leaving for vacation Thursday morning and he has been doing anything he can to earn money for the trip. So cute!! Tanner had to keep a journal in school and Marlean was reading through it the other day and the picture is an entry he had. I just loved it. It was so cute. They love each other so much and I could not be blessed any more than to have Roger’s family in my life. Here are a few pictures.
