Roger had the best birthday I do believe.. We celebrated birthdays literally all weekend. Friday night when I got to daycare Kobe wasnt feeling the best. Even had a small fever :( We were suppose to go out to eat with Marlean, Tanner, Lea and Brody; but we just stayed home.. With him not feeling well and having a fever I just thought it would be better not bring Kobe in contact with anyone (if it was a virus)... But it was the greatest... just snuggling with my baby..
Saturday I got up and went to get breakfast. I cleaned from top to bottom... needed it :) Then I went to Wal-Mart for the necessary items... Kobe stayed with his Daddy, since he wasnt up to par. Normally we go together and he helps me shop :) Saturday afternoon my wonderful mother came over and stayed the night so that she could keep Kobe while we went out to dinner for Roger's birthday... Me and Roger, Chris and Marlean and Chad and Amy went to Ryan's.. Red Lobster was the intial plan, but they were backed up so we just went to Ryan's.. Then we got wild and went to Wal-Mart!! Yes I know we are some wild ones, lol...
Sunday, we decided to stay home from church... this is a rare occasion, but we were tired and Kobe wanted to stay home so I thought I would give him a day off since he was not feeling well.
But about 3:00 we left out and went to Chase's birthday party. And we had the best time!! Kobe had the time of his life... so guess what??? This is where his party is going to be.... he loved it so much and begged for us to have it there... he wants he gets... words from his father, and that is frequently the case...
Today is Roger's actual birthday... I love him so much!! God truly blesses me everyday with the most wonderful husband and father... He is awesome!!

Happy Early Birthday To My Wonderful Hubby!!
Monday is Roger's 31st birthday. I dont think he is as excited as I am. Tonight kicks off the wonderful weekend we will be celebrating. Tonight they will play cards as usual. Roger's cousin Timmy and his wife Lea and their lil boy Brody are coming down. So the ladies are going out to eat while the men play their cards..
Tomorrow, we will just hang around the house until it is time to go out to eat. Bunch of us are going out to eat for Roger's birthday. And we are going to none other than Red Lobster.... one of our favorites :0) I couldnt help myself. I had to give in and give him my gift early. He has wanted a Harley leather jacket for as long as I can remember. So, I started looking a while back and I finally found one that I really liked. I broke down and bought it. (NOT CHEAP) lol. But I couldnt wait to give it to him either... We are just like kids.
Sunday, same usual. Church and a lazy day at home with my boys.... Love the weekends :0)

My Simple Life...
This weekend was great as usual….Friday night started things off with a bang.. Just kidding.. The boys played their usual cards of Friday night so Marlean, Christi, and I went to see a movie and dinner. We saw, No Strings Attached.. very cute movie. Loved it!! Then we had dinner at El Camino Real.
Saturday morning I got up and cleaned the house the a bit; while my boys slept… I love getting up early and cleaning and cooking, so when they get up everything is already ready…. I love it when the house smells so clean… Like summer… Then I look out my kitchen windows and there is 3 inches of snow… UGH!!
Later that day we went to Dairy Queen for lunch… Kobe got his first foot lunch chili dog, thing is as big as he is… So sweet.
Sunday, got up and went to church and to Olivia’s birthday… We had such an awesome time. Livie sure knows how to throw a party.. After the party we went to the grocery and to Applebess….
So all in all, another great weekend…
Have a great week and God Bless!!

Wonderful Weekend!!
This weekend was way to short!! They always are. The week passes so slow then the weekend is so fast. I hate that part. But we made the best of it anyway....
Friday night Kobe and I sat at home while Roger went to play cards with his brothers and dad. We played all night. We laughed, played wrestlers, cars, and finally rested to watch The Three Stooges... We love that show. Roger came home about 10 and we were still playing. So Daddy joined in :0)
Saturday, Roger and Kobe stayed home while me and Mammaw went shopping. We had so much fun. We usually do this at lease one Saturday a month when its pretty out. I talked her into it Saturday and we had a blast!!
Then, Saturday night went to play cards again. Me and Kobe went to town and got something to eat. His favorite place is Wendy's... So Wendy's it was....
Sunday, Kobe and I went to church. After church we went to get Daddy, (He played cards with the boys until 4:00 am!!) and went to Burea to visit baby Trey. He is doing so much better. He is so cute. We didnt get home until 6:30 last night, so we just rested....
God Bless!!! Have a great week :0)

Prayers For Trey!!
William Nathaniel Arvin III was born Monday August 10, 2011 at 1:40 pm. He unknowingly had jaundice. Which in normal circumstances is not a big deal. But for some reason unknow reason Trey's billirubin will not go down. So please keep him in your prayers, that hopefully he gets to go home today with his Mommy, Daddy, and Big Brother Hayden... We love you so much Trey!!!

Yesterday was an awesome day!! We had a new addition to our family. William Nathaniel Arvin III, (Trey) made his arrival at 1:40 in the afternoon. He is so adorable. We rode over after I got off work to visit. The proud Mama and Papa were so in love. It is unreal how much you love someone that you have never even met…. Here are some pictures. After we visited Roger took, Me, Mammaw, and Kobe to Outback for some good steak and potatoes. When we got home Chris had came by and fixed my new faucet. Now I have a kitchen faucet that works, YAY!!

Another Busy Week!!!
This past week was busy as usual. We never have a dull moment to where we can just relax. It has snowed again and we are expecting more!! I am so tired of snow. I mean it. I am ready for tank tops and flip flops. Today, Lil Trey will be born. We are so excited!! For those of you that do not know who that is.. It is my cousin Will's baby. We cant wait. After work I am riding over to the hospital to welcome him into the world.
This week consisted of my getting a new hair updo, Kobe having his very late Christmas party at school, and some projects around the house. Here some pictures that explains...
God Bless and Remember, take it one step at a time... That's why God gave us two feet :)

Interesting Educational Article
Emily Patterson from Primerose schools contacted me via email and wanted me to post an article regarding education in our schools. I am so involved with Kobe's school and told her I would love to post her information:
Sign Language and Your Child's Early Education
One of the keys to surviving in a tilted economic system in which opportunities to achieve a decent standard of living will be limited is versatility. Another being the ability to communicate articulately in a variety of ways with the widest possible audience. This includes bilingual ability as well as the ability to communicate in non-verbal ways for the benefit of the disabled – primarily the deaf.
That being said, there is also a growing shortage of qualified interpreters fluent in American Sign Language has led to more career opportunities – and if current trends continue, it's likely that skilled ASL interpreters will have little problem securing lucrative employment in a society where such a commodity is destined to be in short supply.
Signing Before They Can Speak
A great deal of research has clearly demonstrated that the early years – ages 2 to five – are the best time to educate children in different modes of communication and language. This goes beyond the spoken word (though it is an optimal time for children to learn a second language); many young children have an aptitude for signing as well. This can be taught at home or some child care programs have begun to teach it in their curriculums.
While this may seem odd, it's really not! As you may know, many indigenous peoples around the world, including American Indian nations, have used sign language for centuries to facilitate communication with other tribes with whom they do not share a language. Some paleontologists and anthropologists theorize that Neanderthals – who apparently lacked the vocal mechanism to produce many spoken words – depended a great deal upon hand gestures to communicate.
Recent research suggests that sign language is innate. An article published in the Boulder Daily Camera in 2003 presented strong evidence showing that babies as young as six months old communicate with their hands:
"...by 6 to 7 months, babies can remember a sign. At eight months, children
can begin to imitate gestures and sign single words. By 24 months, children
can sign compound words and full sentences. They say sign language reduces
frustration in young children by giving them a means to express themselves
before they know how to talk." (Glarion, 2003)
Also cited was a funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development demonstrating that young children who are taught sign language at an early age actually develop better verbal skills as they get older. The ability to sign has also helped parents in communicating with autistic children; one parent reports that "using sign language allowed her to communicate with her [autistic] son and minimized his frustration...[he now] has an advanced vocabulary and excels in math, spelling and music" (Glarion, 2003).
The Best Time To Start
Signing in early childhood education not only gives pre-verbal youngsters a way to communicate, it can also strengthen the parent-child bond – in addition to giving children a solid foundation for learning a skill that will serve them well in the future. The evidence suggests that the best time to start learning ASL is before a child can even walk – and the implications for facilitating the parent-child relationship are amazing.

Marvelous Monday, yeah right!!!
The weekend was great!! 3 day weekend, what could be better!! Three whole days with my boys. We went to Jaime and Tommy's for New Years. It was fun. We visited and the boys played. Kobe loves their boys... Jaime fixed so much good food. We had party favors, as you will see. Roger and I had to try them out, =) But we left there a few minutes before 12:00.
Saturday we had a lazy day. Roger went to play cards with his buddies, does this every Friday or Saturday night. Kobe and I sat at home all day!! About 6 oclock we went to the grocery. On our way home Marlean wanted us to come down. We did, went and got something to eat. We had a good time!!
Sunday, Kobe and I got up and went to church. Here he is doing his work in Sunday school. So cute and a good student too.
This week I plan on taking it easy. Got a hair appointment Wednesday, going to be a big change, so we will see how it turns out. I will be sure to post.
Today was back to school and back to work, so the morning commute was not as friendly as it usually is. Kobe was not digging going back to school. He has been able to enjoy his new toys and sleeping in. So today was a big turn of events for him. I hope he has a wonderful day and enjoys seeing his friends.
Happy New Year and God Bless!!!
