Exceptional Children!!!!

I have been so busy this week. With everything happening so fast at home and at work, I am beat. I wanted to tell you about Kobe’s review. It went very well. On his report card, he received all Ms, which means he mastered all the skills. The lady that met with Roger was from the Exceptional Children, said that this was unheard of. For a child his age and grade to know the spelling, reading, shapes and math skills, he knows. Roger said that we have worked with him and she said it shows. He aced their review. Every area he made above average. However, Roger told her that we did not want him moved. So, we (them and us) agreed that it would be a good idea for them to work more with him. So, he had entered the advanced program, whatever that is. They work with him about an hour a day. So, I hope this helps, which I am sure it will. I am so very proud of him. He is such a sweet little boy and to be so smart is such a blessing!
Tonight is Trunk or Treat in our community. Kobe is so excited. So, this afternoon when I get home we will be heading to park for this event. Then, tomorrow is his party at school. Which, I would be able to attend due to issues at work, however I did make a big basket with drinks, cookies, and treat bags for all the kids in his class. So, it is a busy week for us. But I will try to take plenty of pictures of my lil Nascar Driver :)

Pumpkin Patch!!

Surprise!!

At work they had me the nicest lil surprise birthday lunch. Complete with pizza, chips and cupcakes. It was so nice and I appreciate all of my birthday wishes. Thanks everyone and God Bless!!

Pumpkin and a Birthday!!

Last night when I got home Kobe was waiting with a pumpkin in his hand. He has wanted to carve it since we got it. So last night me, Kobe and mom carved it. Roger ran to town for a gift for me. MY BIRTHDAY!! He got me the sweetest card ever and it was loaded with shopping money. Told me to spend it on me alone; that will be hard, but I will try.
Today is my birthday, so I am hoping all aspects of today turn out wonderful. Happy 30th Birthday to me!!!!

Strep Again!!

Last week on Tuesday, I woke up feeling so bad. I came to work anyway only to be sent to the doctor and home for a couple of days by my boss. I had STREP! It is awful, if you’ve never had it. So anyway, I took the antibiotics and was feeling much better. As you will remember Roger was in the ED for kidney stones, it was then that we discovered he had Strep at that time. So he got some antibiotics for himself. And we were on the uphill climb I thought. Last night we went to take my Mams her birthday present and on the way there my throat started aching. And by the time I got home it was killing me. This morning I woke up in awful pain. But I came to work anyway, like I do, because I am very responsible (hehehe). I was feeling so bad that my boss was like you need to get some medicine. So I made awkward trip to the ED and got another prescription. Hopefully this time will be it. I told Roger he will be sleeping on the couch or I would one because as much as I love him this little gift is not the most flattering. So just pray that we beat this and start feeling better before the weekend because we have several things to do Saturday.
Tomorrow Kobe is going to the Pumpkin Patch with daycare, Friday with his class, and we are taking him Saturday. Saturday night we have a Halloween party, well Kobe does. And we must go, we go every year. Sunday evening we are going to visit my good friend Jaime and her family at Boonesboro Park. They always have a Halloween todo all week long. So we have a pretty exciting weekend. We CAN NOT be sick :)

Lovin' my Mams!

We went to see my Mams last night to deliver her the gift we had gotten her for her birthday. Kobe had fallen asleep in the car so we didnt get to stay long. But just seeing her was more than enough. Love her so much!!!

Happy Birthday and Court Day!!!

This weekend was so busy and yet so great!! It was Court Day, so of course it was wonderful. Friday night Mom, Roger, and I went out to supper. Kobe wanted to stay with Marlean and Tanner. It was a nice evening. Mom went to stay all night with my sister. At about 12:00 am I received a call that my mom went to get her truck. After the police were called and Roger’s knowledge, she finally got her truck. She was an eventful but victorious evening.
Saturday morning bright and early Marlean and I met up, well she came and got me, and we headed to Court Day. I found a lot of cute, cute things for my house. We spent the day together just shopping, eating, and more shopping. It was great! Saturday evening we came home and headed over to my aunts house. We wanted to visit and she fixed a great supper so why not? Right… We all played outside and visited, it was a wonderful time.
Sunday morning, Mom, Roger, Me, Kobe, and Amber all loaded up and went to Court Day. We were just going to let Roger and Kobe do their shopping. We found some more really cute things for the house and I bought my momma a purse for her birthday. Kobe found some really cool toys. Roger got himself some things for work. We left there and headed to Preston. We had a really great day. I love, love spending time with my family. Sunday night on the other hand was not so great. For Roger anyway. He woke up from a sound sleep with pain in his side and back. We rushed to the Emergency Room and it was kidney stones. Poor thing. He felt awful. I felt so bad because I couldn’t do anything for him. He started feeling better as the night went on. I just hope everything turns out ok with him. Love him so much.
Monday, was great too. We slept in a lil because of the eventful evening. That was nice, sleeping in. We got up and had breakfast then Roger surprised me. He had went and got me a gift card to have my nails done. So Kobe, mom and I went to town and had my nails done and went to the grocery. I have such a sweet and wonderful husband. Also today is my Mammaw’s birthday. I love her so much, she has been a rock in my life so many times. I love you Mammaw so much!

Court Day!!!!

This weekend is Court Days and I am so freakin’ excited!!! I have lived in Mt. Sterling half of my life and when I wasn’t living there I only live 10 minutes away; so I was very close. Court Days have always been one of my favorite things. My birthday is next Friday and I always get money for Court Days for my birthday and I love it! Court Days are usually Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This year it is starting today on Friday, but that’s ok. On Saturday mornings Marlean and I get up early, find a parking spot, push through the crowd, to look and buy things that are there every year. I know I have said this before, but it is my absolute favorite!!!! I can not wait.
Tonight Roger, Mom and myself are going to see Exile in concert. I know you all may not know who that is, but they sing songs like, “Kiss You All Over”, “Still The One”, and “Love Takes Time”. My mother found out they were coming to town and wanted to go. So since I didn’t get to do anything for her birthday; Roger and I decided to take her. Marlean is going to watch Kobe for a couple of hours. It should be really nice.
So, tonight Exile, and all weekend, everyday I will be at Court Days or Preston. So if you need to find me; that is where I will be.

Thursday's Thoughts

Today is my nephew Jason’s birthday…. Happy Birthday to you!!!
This week has been long and exhausting. What I thought was a simple head cold turned into STREP!! Which stinks… Monday, I went to work and felt horrible all day long. Tuesday morning I got up to go to work and felt horrible. But I went to work anyway. When I got to work my boss insisted that I go to the doctor. So, I went to the doctor and they said that I def had strep. They put on antibiotics and gave my two days off from work. Which the rest was nice. I didn’t leave the house except to take Kobe to school and back. But after being on the medicine I have finally began to feel better. So after to better days are ahead. =)
On another note, my momma has a meeting with her lawyer today. Please, please, Please keep her in your prayers.

Great Weekend!!

We had a great weekend, as always!! Friday night, we had some company. My nephew called and wanted to stay all night. So I went to pick him. Kobe just loves him and so do we =) Chris and I stopped by Wal-Mart. I saw that movie Karate Kid. I thought Kobe would love this. And he did. I usually try to get him something for doing well at school. It was a success.
Saturday, I had a hair appointment. It turned out really cute. I didnt get any cut just highlighted, Roger liked it. After this Roger, Mom, Kobe, Chris, Marlean, Tanner, and myself went to a lil Honky Tonk if you will. It is really family friendly, no drinking. So we had a great time.
Sunday, we just hung around. I did go to Big Lots, they have the cutest decorations. Of course, I picked out couple of things... Then, we ended the day at Chris and Marlean's for a huge and delicious supper.

This weekend!!

Ok, it is the weekend again and I am more than ready. We have all had this head cold going around and we feel so rough. I am so proud of Kobe and I can not express how much!! I recieved a letter yesterday from Montgomery County Board of Education~Excepetional Children. This was an appointment for his review. I am so thankful that God has blessed Roger and I with an awesome, beautiful, smart baby boy!! He is so smart!!! So very smart. Last night Tanner came over to visit and join us for supper. He went home and came right straight back in just a few minutes. He had an envelope in his hand addressed to Kobe. We took the note out and this is what it said, " Kobe I can not believe how smart you are. I hope you have fun in Kindergarten." He is such a sweet boy. We love him so much. He just has no idea.
Tomorrow I am getting my hair slightly done, lol. Just getting a little highlights, nothing major. But what I am really excited about is Chris and Marlean have found this lil hangout. A place that has a live band of classic country music and dancing. The best part is that it is a family place. We can take Kobe and he can enjoy ourselves. I dont like going places without Kobe. Everyone says, you should take a break and leave Kobe and enjoy yourself. But the thing is that I dont enjoy myself unless he is there with me. I always think about what he is doing and if he is ok. Never a moments peace, so I just like taking him with me so I know he is fine and having fun.
Sunday is just going to be a lazy day. Church in the morning then, just relax. Maybe house work if it is needed.

My lil baby

This morning I had a doctor’s appointment. Which everything went ok. But on my way to work I received a call from the Montgomery County Educational Department. At first, I thought oh my goodness, what could be wrong. She assured me nothing was wrong. Actually, she stated everything was great. She said your son, Kobe, is progressing at a rapid pace. He is head above his class and grade. We would like to set up a date and time to review Kobe and see where he stands. This review will better help the educational team on what direction he needs to go. I wasn’t shocked, I know he is intelligent. Made a me so proud!! I am excited to see where he stands!! Just keep us in your prayers that we make the right decisions for him and his future…

Family and Friends

This weekend was great as always. Friday night we usually sit at home and relax from the long week past. But this Friday night was a little different. My nephew Cody and his girlfriend Stephanie were going to the Homecoming dance and I had to have pictures. Had to!! So Friday evening about 8:00 my mother and I rode over and took some pictures of them. Then, we rode over to Krsytal’s; my other nephew Chris has a job there and he was working then. So we had to ride over and check him out.
Saturday morning we got up early and mom and I ran to get breakfast. She stopped by the beauty shop on the way back and got a stylish new look. It looks great. After everything my friend Nikki rode over and her little girl Livie and we all rode over to the Railroad Festival. It was nice; not that big, but we were all together and that is all that matters.
Sunday, Roger and I went to the grocery store and came back home. Didn’t do much at all. My aunt Kim and Brent came over to eat supper. I fixed Rib roast, potatoes, carrots, and a big salad. It was quiet delicious.

Happy Birthday Wayland James!!

Lil Wayland turned 4 yrs. old yesterday.. Happy Birthday to you!!!
This weekend has us planned out as always. Tonight, my nephew has his Homecoming Dance. I am excited for him. I told him that before he left for the dance I was coming to take pictures of him and his lil girlfriend :)
Then, tomorrow we are getting up early to head to the Railroad Festival. It is a big festival in Irvine KY. We're pretty excited about that too. I love taking Kobe to things like that. I like for him to have different experiences. So me, Roger, Kobe, Mom are heading out to get breakfast and go to the festival in the morning. Then, Sunday is just church and relaxation....I have made an appointment for a photographer to take some pictures. Our appointment is at the end of the month. I am so excited. This is the first time we have had professional outdoor/indoor family pictures taken. I mean we have had like JC Pennys and Portrait Innovations but I mean someone working for the right shot of candid portraits; I cant wait.
