Snow, snow go away!

Snow is in the forecast again… Not much has happened this week. But the weekend packs a pretty big punch… Tomorrow morning we have to go pick up the hardwood we ordered. Maybe ready tonight, I hope it is. We ordered hardwood for the living room and tile for both bathrooms. I cant wait. Then tomorrow we are going to hang out until it is time to go on our big date…. Taking Roger out for his birthday. It will so much fun… Some our friends and family are going with us. That is if we can make it, lol. With all the snow they are predicting I don’t know. They are giving southern Kentucky like 10-12 inches for this weekend. I would like to go out, but I do love staying in as well. Hopefully, we will be able to go out and then be stuck at home the rest of the weekend. Maybe take Kobe out to play in the snow. He loves it.
I absolutely can not wait to put the new floors down. I want it down before Kobe’s birthday, that is my goal… We will see.
I will have pictures of this weekend so be ready, lol.
Be safe and God bless!

Weather, weather.....

Rain one day and snow the next. Mother Nature can not make up her mind. But I am now ready for long, hot, summer days. I love the snow; don’t get me wrong. But enough is enough. Last night we just went to town and got something to eat and went back home to relax and watch tv. It was cold, rainy, and partially snowing.
This weekend is Roger’s birthday. So, Saturday night we are going to Comedy Off Broadway and out to eat. It will be so much fun. Then, Sunday I think I am going to get Roger a lil cake and some ice cream. Just to celebrate with the family. We are so very blessed to have the family that we have. I am so glad that we have each other to have and to hold.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Lazy Weekend

This weekend was wonderful yet lazy, lol. Friday night on my way home I stopped and picked up some supper. After we are, Roger was ready to leave to his Friday night card game with the boys. He has so much fun. Kobe and I went down for a little bit. They played at our good friends’ Chad and Amy. They have a little boy, Chase. Kobe just loves Chase. My dear friend Tocha came over. She has and is just like a sister to me. She has been by my side all my life, childhood through adulthood and I just love her. Her and her children came over. Keeley Jo who is 8 years and Caiden Allen is 5 months and they are so cute. Kobe just loves having someone to play with. So they kids just played their little hearts out and the adults just watched television.
Saturday, we had a family chicken meal, which was delicious…. Gotta love the KFC.
Sunday it rained, all day. We went to my aunt’s house and had dinner. It was really nice to be with my family…
Roger, Kobe, and I came home, put on some pjs and just watched television. I love a rainy Sunday…. (My camera battery was dead so I didnt get any pictures, I am so sorry)

Water Works

It has been raining all day today. It is cold, wet and gloomy out today. Just a perfect day to go hom and relax on the couch with my boys. And, that my friends is exactly what I am going to do. Not really much changed today or anything much to blog about. Just cant wait to get home, get in my pjs, find something on the television and relax for the night. However, that doesnt last too last. A good time never does. But at least I get to be with my babies.

I will talk to ya tomorrow.

Thank You for your Prayers!

Well last night was the night. We had Gomer put down. He was getting worse. He just wasn’t himself. I was and am heartbroken; we all are. However, there comes a time in your adult life that you have to do what is best at the time and not what you feel you would want best. We would have loved for him to jump right up and take off running around, but it was obvious that wasn’t going to happen. It is amazing how you can become attached to something in such a short time. Please just continue to pray for us that we stay closer to God and closer to each other.

After that being said; I have an amazing family. They are so wonderful and thoughtful. I am so blessed to have them in my life. Thank you to all that have helped me in this process.

I love you!!

All Dogs go to Heaven

We have a family dog named, Gomer. Yes, a funny name, but it suited him to a tee. He is a loving, trustworthy, loyal, and sometimes ruthless puppy. It saddens me to tell this but he got hit by a car last week. We have been trying to nurse him back to health. But against all efforts I think it would be best to have him put down. This is a very hard decision however it is in his best interest. First we had a dog, Dugan who passed away awhile ago and now Gomer. I think this does it for us and dogs. Too much heartache, way too much!!!

Please keep us in your prayers as this is difficult for Roger and myself, as well as Kobe. Here is a pleasant memory of him and that is why we loved him so much…

Monster Jam 2010

We had an absolutely amazing time at Monster Jam. The boys had no idea until we actually pulled into the parking lot. They thought we were going to Chuckee Cheese’s, but boy were they excited when they found out different. As you will noticed the pictures say more than I could ever say. Check out their faces.

Busy Weekend

Tonight I have a hair appointment. I am just getting a trim and going back to my original color. I am kind of excited for a lil change.

Monster Jam is coming to Rupp Arena and of course I am taking my baby. I have known about for a lil bit, but didn’t know for sure if we were going to get to go. But we are!! Kobe has no idea whatsoever. I cant wait…. He loves his cousin Tanner so much. I ask Tanner’s mommy if he could go with us. Of course she said yes. So Saturday we are going to take the boys out to eat, maybe to Chicago’s (were a big fan) and then its off to Rupp. I just cant wait to see the boys’ faces when they figure out what we are doing.

Then, Sunday we have a birthday party to attend. A dear friend of mine Nikki’s lil girl, Liv. She is so cute. I am sure it will be fun.

Of course I will have pictures of every event as always. You can tell me what you think of my hair.

Love ya and God Bless

Best of Friends and Good Food

I wanted to make a correction from my last blog. I wanted to let everyone know that Roger fixed the furnace, not me. He noticed the thermostat was off. I didn’t mean for it to sound that way, but after reading it back to myself; it sounded like it. Just wanted to clear that up.

Yesterday, school was back in session and it was back to work. Kobe did not want to go and neither did we. But, life has to get back to normal at some point. So we went to school and work. Afterwards, we went the Mexican and ate, such good food. Then, back home to get ready for today. Kobe and I cuddled up in the bed and watched the new Ice Age movie. He fell asleep in my arms, which I love. So sweet; love him so much. Back up at 6:00 again this morning to start the routine all over again.
Look at him and his Daddy. They are the best of friends and I am so happy.

Staying Warm

Well the weather man was right!! We got a bunch of snow, lots! Which I love but I didn’t leave my house all weekend, I mean all weekend. No~where… Anyway, the furnace wasn’t broke. I got home and noticed that the thermostat was off, yea it was off. I asked Kobe if he had bothered it. He said, “ Mommy, I was cold and I wanted to get warm.” Bless his heart. How could you get upset at that? Well I couldn’t. I said, “Aw, it’s ok baby.” Just glad it wasn’t broken. So we stayed in and watched the snow fall. Thankfully, we were warm. LOL. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Praying for a good week.

God Bless

Snow, A broke furnace, and a Jolly good time.

Snow is really coming down here in Kentucky. Looks like a blizzard almost. I know that it probably is not considered an actual blizzard but it looks like one. As you already know I love snow days. I love a Saturday snow, knowing you have no where to go, get in your pajamas, bake some cookies, and throw an old movie on (Sweet Home Alabama is my favorite) and just enjoy the day. As you watch the snow fall and notice that it is starting to accumulate you run and get your warm clothes, jacket, gloves, and the throw on your snow boots and head outside for the snowball fight and build a big snowman. So, yea I love the snow.
However, I did have some upsetting news this afternoon. Kobe had NO SCHOOL again today, (which I am glad, with the snow coming and the roads being bad, rather him be at home). Roger wasn’t feeling well (like he has the FLU again), so they stayed home together. They enjoy those days. Roger called me this afternoon stating that our furnace has broken. Yes, our furnace is BROKEN. With the snowing pouring down a blizzard the furnace is broken. Roger drug out the old propane heater and we will be camped out in the living room on the air mattress. There is calm in this entire midst; Kobe thinks that we are truly camping. So, it is actually kind of cute. As long as we all snuggle and stay warm, that is all that matters to me. So say a little prayer that we get our furnace fixed and life continues as normal.
On another note, be safe, stay warm and God bless.

No School Days

Christmas vacation has been over since January 4, 2010. However, Monday was the first and last day of school so far this week. Snow has really come in Kentucky and we love it. Traveling in the snow is not the greatest but it is beautiful. Kobe has been out of school these past two days and he loves it. These past two mornings we have gotten up and turned on the news ate breakfast while Mommy’s curling iron heats up (this is a morning routine for us). However, Montgomery County no school and Kobe was so excited!! He thinks it is so funny that he has no school, but Mommy has to go to work. The lil stinker. I love it though. His little personality is just so cute. Here is a picture of snow at our house and this would be why there is no school. It is so beautiful. Reminds me of a Christmas card.
Snow is suppose to accumulate Thursday here in Kentucky so ya’ll be careful and stay warm until next time.

God Bless

Happy Birthday Brody!!

We had the most amazing New Year. We (Me, Rog, and Kobe) set at home and watched the ball drop. As the ball was dropping and they were counting down the seconds; I looked around in amazement just how lucky I truly am. I have the most amazing husband and son anyone could have. They are so wonderful. I am truly happy and blessed. I know 2010 will bring more surprises and blessings and I cant wait.

On Saturday, we took the two hour trip to Garrison to see Brody Luke open his presents. He is such a sweet and beautiful lil boy that is growing right before our eyes. His parents Timmy and Lea have been the best of friends and cousins that could ask for. I am so happy for them on his milestone. We love you guys so much!!
